Die Landwege nach Kangra, Chamba, Kullu, Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti sind mal wieder aufs heftigste blockiert! Ich erhoffe Lichtblick (http://trekkingforum.com/forum/member.php?u=1956) noch in Shimla in Sicherhei! Wenn auch vielleicht ohne Strom und Wasser! Regenschirme konnte sie am Sonntag wohl noch kaufen... ;) Edit: Nö... sie ist wohlbehalten schon in Reckong Peo! Schöne 60.Independence-day-Feier morgen... :up:

The century-old railway station at Koti on the Shimla-Kalka track was washed away in a cloudburst while 19 persons were killed at various places over the past 24 hours as rain continued to play havoc in the state for the second day today. With this the death toll due to rain-related incidents over the past two days has risen to 30.

Heavy rain has thrown life out of gear as residents in the state capital had to go without water for the second consecutive day today. Power supply was also affected due to uprooted trees and huge landslides. Most parts of the capital went without water for the second day as there was no pumping due to excessive silt on account of heavy rain.

Trains on Kalka-Shimla line off for next 10 days
Shimla, Aug 14: The train services on the historic Kalka-Shimla railway line will remain suspended for at least 10 days as cloudbursts and landslides have damaged tracks on not less than 40 locations, a senior railway official said Tuesday.
"The 96-km Kalka-Shimla track has been damaged on not less than 40 locations and the damage continues due to rain and water flowing down from mountains,"
