we are a group of pakistani students (three to be exact), and are looking to join some group or make individuals join ours hence sharing the cost, well we are going to fairy meadows as well at the end of july. we have our own equipment, and as we speak "urdu" we can be a great help in negotiating or getting out of situations. Our Trip will include trek to fairy meadows and then probably to rakaposhi or haramosh valley. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Regards
Khurram
Hello Khurram,
welcome to Trekkingforum!
There is a small community of Pakistan-loving trekkers here. Perhaps you will be lucky and will find companions.
What treks have you done already?

well i really hope to find someone :) well i havent done much "typical" trekking, but have been to the mountains alot as my father was in army and he got posted to some really remote areas of the country. I started trekking last year at haramosh valley, and it was so hard that my team leader said that he has never been to such a hard trek.
This year team of me and my two cousins have planned to leave on our own as fairy meadows trek is really easy so we will be able to do it without any guide or porters. After that we might head for harmosh valley because i know its path and camping sites, or rakaposhi (with a guide). We are amateurs but think that it will be more adventurous in doing some easy treks on our own.
Good luck for finding companions :) .
To Fairy Meadows its really an easy trek. Also to Rakaposhi basecamp. Dont miss the Diran guesthouse in Minapin with its beautiful garden to relax :-) . I dont think, that you´ll need a guide for Rakaposhi BC. But you can ask at Diran guesthouse.
Emjoy!
