We ( Austrian & Italian) are on a Safari/Trekking-Tour starting on the 31 Dec until 11 Jan in Arusha, visiting Tarangire NP, Serengti NP, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Olomoti – Embakai Craters, Rift Vallley, Lake Natron, Ol Doinyo Lengai (Climb).

Just back from a wonderful trip in northern tanzania.

We (Austrian & Italian) visited tarangire np, lake manyara np, serengeti np, ngorongoro conservation area and lake natron.

Hiked olomoti and embakai crater, through massai country and climbed the active volcano lengai.

We have seen impressing wildlife, breathtaking scenery and met friendly people (in the remotest areas).

The first part of the trip was a typical safari with our own guide/driver and a cook (incredibly what he was able to serve and even unbelievable he was cooking only with charcoal). We had a landrover (pop up roof) and spend the nights at campsites.

During the hike we were accompanied by a massai guide, the cook and donkeys who carried the load.

It was a perfect combination that gave us the opportunity to be in close contact with Africa.

Cause I know how difficult it is (was) to find the right company to trust:

Our trip was organised by achmed philips from base camp site in arusha.

From my own experience I can highly recommend this operator.

The price was about 135 US$ per day inclusive meals and bottled water. the daily program started usually at around 6 am and lasted until late night.
Taking into consideration that the park fees are between 30 and 50 US$ per day, around 20 US$ for a campsite, the costs for the guide, cook, the car, the equipment, etc. – this price is – for me – very fair.
