Recommendations which is better - Cordillera Blanca in Peru or Cordillera Real in Bolivia. Can anyone say with experience which trek is better?
countries vs. mountain ranges?
In my opinion:
- Perus Cordillera Blanca offers slightly more spectacular mauntains
- Bolivias Cordillera Real is more original, authentic and laid back
what's the treks your thinking of?

If your focus is really on trekking, I would recommend you Cordillera Blanca in Perú, its really spectacular.
If you want to climb also a couple of easy swnow peaks, I would recommend you Bolivia.

Thank you for the response. Do you remember what circuit you did in Cordillera Blanca? Much appreciated.

Hi,
I did not a complete circuit. We went to
Laguna Querococha and Chavin (ruins)
Ishinca valley, climbing Urus and Ishinca - easy to get there and easy to climb
Llanganuco Valley (behind Huascarán) and normal route to Chopicalqui (only up to the mountain sattle), very very impressive!
In all places we find friendly people and guides with "mula"
Greetings, Federico
