Yeti exists: Nepali experts
Experts on Yeti have raised questions on the claims made by Japanese mountaineer Makato Nebuka that the "Abominable Yeti" was nothing more than "Meti", a Himalayan Brown Bear, a published report said Wednesday.
"It is tough to come up with proof but it is too early to say that it does not exist at all", The Kathmandu Post quoted Prof. Ram Kumar Pandey, a Yeti expert, as saying. "No one should draw conclusions based on linguistic coincidences", he said.
"Serious research is underway both in China and Russia and the result thereof will take time to materialise", he added. "The issue certainly needs investigation in the light of the tantalising revelation", said another expert Tirtha Bahadur Pradhananga.
"We cannot say that Yeti does not exist", he said.
