Die Berichte über eine geplante Blockade aller Destrikte im Westen verdichten sich. Das ist jetzt schon die zweite Meldung zum Thema bei nepalnews. Die Blockade, sollte das so stimmen, betrifft große Teile der Annapurna-Runde und auch Chitwan. Das klingt nicht gut, überhaupt nicht gut. Dringende (!!!) Maoists blockade in district headquarters of western region to begin
The Maoists’ announcement of a 15-day blockade which was reported earlier on Thursday will begin in district headquarters of Western development regions after midnight today, a report said Sunday.
According to the Maoists, human mobility to and from the district headquarters of the region will be blocked until March 25. However, Maoists have stated that they may allow human mobility in urgent situations.
The Maoists’ announcement has led to chaos in the region, Nepal Samacharpatra said. Rameswor Dhakal, a resident of Kushma bazaar, remarking on the Maoists’ blockade as a ‘severe call,’ urged the Maoists to review their announcement. “It is certain that the public will suffer in a great deal,” Dhakal said. Similarly, Bhu Kumari Shahi, a resident of Myagdi said she has been frightened by the Maoists’ blockade.
According to the report, Maoist-affiliated organizations namely Tamuwan National Liberation Front, Magarat National Liberation Front and Madhesi National Liberation Front issuing a joint statement have declared blockades in the district headquarters of the Western development region.
Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Palpa, Syanja, Kaski, Tananun, Parwat, Lamjung, Gorkha, Gulmi, Myagdi and Manang are the districts which fall in the Western development region. nepalnews.com pd Mar 07 04
